Can't quit thinking about it!

I have a terrible problem! Every time I eat a meal I CRAVE something sweet following. Usually I cave and have a small piece of chocolate or some chocolate chips or some other small sweet treat but I REALLY wish I didn't have this stupid craving! I know it is probably more of a habit than anything, but it is driving me NUTS!
To make things worse I spend every night at home just THINKING about food. Namely cakes and cookies. I try not to, but I always seem to find myself surfing the internet looking at delicious decadent desserts and then searching my house trying to find something to curb the craving. I have tried exercising instead, brushing my teeth, going to bed, reading, home improvement, you name it, but I still just think about food and what is the next thing I am going to eat!
I am thinking I probably have some serious food relationship issue.
Just venting...carry on.

I have a sweet tooth as well.

In the evening after dinner to keep me from thinking about something sweet or something to nibble on I make myself a nice cup of green tea and savour that.

You've described me to a T... I have the exact same problem. I had lost 60 pds and have gained 20 back because of these habits. It's such a mental thing for me.

I knew the "tea" comment was going to come up. I didn't realize it would be the FIRST one!

Sorry-can't stand the taste of tea or coffee, but that is just me.

If you want something sweet, I'd say go ahead and have it, just not alot of it and be sure that you remain in a caloric deficit to maintain weight loss if that's your goal. Unless you're diabetic, sugar isn't the enemy. you will have to eat less somewhere else, checks and balances, LOL. Just my 2cents
