We have a lot of venison at my house in the winter and I just looked up the info last night on the net and it says 3oz contains around 25g. of protein. I didn't realize how much it had before now. And it's very lean and healthy! Done correctly it tastes like a very good beef just very lean. It's all about how you cook it and how it was prepared after being butchered.
  • Venison is awesome with spicey/zesty--chili, enchiladas, tacos, lasagna.. So much better than beef for those things. :) I've been wondering what other proteins to look for too cuz I dont like to eat a ton of meat/fish (mostly too lazy to prepare it). Gotta make more chickpeas & quinoa.

I work out at night (because I am limited on time) and since i dont want to eat too many calories BUT i want to pack in some protein, i munch on pumpkin seeds.
