I am in the Masters. And I did sign up. This is waaaaaaay out of my comfort zone, but what the hell.0

I am! Just for fun of course. It's like when I sign up for a marathon - I don't actually expect to place out of 60,000 people, but it's just for the experience and good times.

I signed up as well - I have no intention of making it anywhere but I figured it was a good challenge for myself.
First WOD - AMRAP 7 min: BURPEES : 60
I did not do that great but in my defense it was my first WOD back after having the flu.0 -

12.2 Score: 36
PRed my snatch by 20lbs! Didn't know I had it in me! I definitely let out a little scream when I got the first one haha0 -
So I did Open 12.2...Managed 31, really helped having a dedicated spotter/counter for the reps helped with just focusing on the lift, pointed out corrections, and encouraged to keep going. To be honest wasn't sure I'd be able to do the 135, especially since I that is more than I press but I managed to get one at the timer!

My Open 12.2 was 30 - I finished the 45lbs rather quickly and then for the last 6 or 7 minutes was working on the 75 lbs - I was so close but just couldn't get it over head. I am pleased with my results as I have done the snatch maybe 2 or 3 times before this.0

Before 12.2 my snatch PR was 65#. Went to oly class the day before doing the wod and worked on them. Managed to get 75# finally. So the day of I was hoping for a 31, maybe a 32. I ended up with a 39. And while that's not a spectacular score I was more than happy.
12.3...I'm guessing pull ups will be involved. Maybe double unders.0 -

For some reason I'm pumped to give 12.3 a shot...just it has variety, looks very achievable while still being challenging...0

18 minutes is a long time. :huh: My biggest worry is the toes to bars. They always wreck my bad shoulder. Ah well....0

we did it today... It's really quite easy to do, but I was pacing myself (did the full extension at the top of the box, but stepped down instead because of my knee)..
5 rounds + 15 BJ & 2 PP.0 -
I was quite worried as I have never done a 75lb push press - but I PR'd the push press and was able to get 3 rounds + 15 box jumps. I was beat!!!0

That one was rough...I only got 4+20, which for the time doesn't seem like much...plus I felt like I kept sucking down air for a lot of the time. The weight definitely wasn't a joke0

Thanks! The WoDs haven't been a joke for either side, just as a guy I get to throw numbers that even I get like kicked by...hopefully next year I'll put a more solid showing0
