Do I need a goal weight?

I dont like setting goals because when I reach them, I feel like I'm there, I'm cured and can easily slip back into old habits.

As long as I'm changing my lifestyle, isnt that good enough? Be it, 300, 275, 250, 200 lbs... my body is going to be where it wants to be. I'll just keep eating clean and excercising and let the chips fall where they may. Why get spun up over a few pounds here and there?

Personally, I like to be able to say "Yes, I have concrete proof that I have achieved this goal." Changing your lifestyle is great, but for me, that's not really something that's easily measurable. Seeing a number, now that's measurable. :)

Of course, that's just me. I like to check things off lists and make charts and spreadsheets and stuff like that. If you're happy doing what you're doing, keep doing it!

    Use a progressive goal chart

    Example .... goal 1 275
    goal 3 270
    goal 4 250

and so on down to the ridiculous and add stuff to it.

My ultimate goal is to be 165 pounds, have a 30 inch waist, rock solid abs and be benching double my weight. And, to have trophy women hanging off my bike.

like the progress chart..thats a good idea...trophy girls, not so much. Wife kind of frowns on extracarricular activity.
