Today I went and had some testing done in order to join a local community fitness challenge. I would like to share some things and see if I can get some opinions. This is what is on the printout I got:
Sex: female
Current weight: 210
Body frame: medium
Height: 5'5"
Exercise frequency: 5-6 days a week
Exercise intensity: high intensity
Exercise time: 30+ minutes
Body fat: 27.1%
Fat weight: 57
Lean (fat-free) weight: 153.1
Total body water: 55.4%
Body mass index: 35.0
The tech told me that ideally I should lose about half of my fat weight, and I should drink more water to get my body water up to 60%. This would change what I originally thought my weight loss goal was. I was discussing this test with my hubby and I figure unless I lean down the muscle build I have, my ideal weight would be what the tech told me. In addition to opinions on the information above I would also like to know, how would I go about reducing the muscle mass I have that has been there since middle school and high school sports?
