Breakfast ideas

So I was wondering what some great breakfast ideas were. Something yummy and simple and of course healthy

  • One slice of whole wheat bread
    Half of a banana
    1-2 tbsp natural peanut butter


    Oatmeal with cinnamon&banana or strawberries and light whipped cream or peanut butter.

    Scrambled eggs.

    Chobani (or other greek yoghurt) with granola/fruit.

    Smoothies.

    Using from what I have read on the boards here I tried an egg bake this weekend, used 12 whole eggs and 3 more egg whites beaten well- added two cups broccoli, onion and red pepper and cheddar cheese and baked in a dish. You can really add whatever you prefer.

    Cut in to 15 portions and put in individual zip log bags. What I wouldnt eat this week I put in freezer. It heats in a minute in microwave when I get to work, and everyone is jealous of the yummy smells coming from my desk. I would have used muffin tins to portion out easier but couldnt find them that day!! Lots of great egg bake ideas out there if you google, and something you can make in an hour or less over the weekend and be set for awhile for breakfast.

    Egg whites-Omelets, scrambled etc. I can have them for breakfast, lunch and dinner. You can add so many different veggies and meats to eggs. Great source of protein.

    1 whole wheat english muffin
    2 Tbsp of PB2
    1 medium apple

    1 cup non-fat milk
    1/2-2/3 cup cereal

    1 1/2 cups strawberries
    1 cup non-fat plain yogurt (and some stevia!)

    2 egg whites
    1/4 cup shredded reduced fat cheese
    2 Tbsp fresh-cut salsa (I like restaurant style!)

    I have a breakfast smoothie each morning:

    3 cups of spinach
    1 tbsp ground flax
    Frozen berries
    Banana
    1% milk (Going to try the almond milk)
    Oikos fat free greek vanilla yogurt (Just a scoop for protein)
