The Relief!

I joined MFP back in Jan, and since then I've been trying to stick religiously to 1200 cals a day, which I can on most days stick to and by the start of Feb I reached a loss of 12lbs, which I'm super proud of. I had a bad back at the time and couldn't leave the house so there was hardly any temptation.
Now I'm a lot better I've been stressing myself out with this 1200 number - I'd rather go under than over it - and I haven't lost weight since. So after reading lots of posts on here I decided to change my weight loss goal to 1lb a week instead of 2lb so I have 1600 cals a day. Of course, I went to bed thinking "omg that's sooooo much".
But, I must say, the relief when I woke up this morning was intense. I feel totally in control. I'm not stressed about eating too much fruit or wanting to skip lunch to make sure I have enough cals if I'm going round to the parents for dinner etc. Something that was just mental! I know I'll prob not hit 1600 every day but I won't be below 1200, which was the really unhealthy part.
I'm also going to buy a measuring tape today as I'm sure strength training will be having an affect on my weight too.
Looking forward to the next couple of weeks to see how it goes!
