Sweet frustration

Happy Friday everyone! I have my sugar macro set for 30 grams/day. I am attempting to only eat naturally occuring sugars like what would be in fruit. I am frustrated because the 2 cups of fruit (honeydew, cantelope, pineapple and blueberries) that I am having with my eggs in the morning puts me over my sugar total for the day. I have never been a big fruit eater and this is usually the only fruit I get during the day (not that spreading it out over various meals would make a difference). Thoughts and suggestions welcome!

Wow, I can't imagine what kind of sugar intake I am eating on a daily basis if 2 cups of fruit is more than 30 grams! Personally, my goal now is to cut out ALL refined sugar and not count the sugar from fruit. Does your body metabolize glucose/sucrose differently that fructose? I would like to know if I am on the right track. Also, fruit has other nurtitional value, I am sure.0
