First - go get some exercise and do some damage control.
Second - Eat a low cal, high fiber dinner. Try some chicken and broccoli.
Third - plan better. Sit down tonight and decide what you're going to eat tomorrow to avoid it happening again.0 -

Don't fret and don't get discouraged. We all have a bad day here and there. Keep surging forward and you'll see success!!0

Also, you may want to look through your day and find out where your weak points are. Mine usually falls into the snack time after school with my kids. Then tomorrow, have a snack already planned for that period of time and stick to it. Also, for me, when I pack my kids' lunches at night, I pack my daytime food also (even though I work from home). That way, I only eat from that container all day and learn to spread it out. Just some suggestions.0

The phrase " ask and you will receive " really works, Thank you!
I have taken your advice and exercised. I am a member of the YMCA and decided to take their Turbo Kick Class. It was fun and I was able to burn enough calories to put me back in the "black"!
As suggested, my goal is to plan/prepare for the following day in advance.
Bye for now0 -
Oh good tjblue2! I'm glad that you were able to get a workout in.... also glad that you didn't take my response to be too terse. I answered your post very quickly as I was heading out the door last night and when I came back and looked at it later, I thought.... "well now, that was friendly". LOL!
I've really found that researching what I want to eat BEFORE I eat it has helped me to stay on track. I try to have food in my house that can be grabbed at a moment's notice... apples, bananas, broccoli, celery, etc.
If you try to eat SOMETHING every 2-3 hours, you'll find that your calories go much farther. For breakfast I like to do a few egg whites cooked with some salsa and topped with a little sour cream, 1/.2 a banana or an apple and sometimes a bowl of cream of wheat cereal (depending on what I'm doing that day). The egg whites are low calorie - but pack a good nutritional punch and the fruit and cereal give me some good carbohydrates to work out.
I've also found that eating foods "separately" allows me to eat more. I used to be big on fixing casseroles and one-skillet meals... because I HATE doing dishes. But, I've found that a piece of chicken, some green beans and some brown rice look like a LOT more on my plate than a piece of casserole. AND - I can always have more broccoli, more green beans, more asparagus, etc... without having to have "more" of something that would be in a casserole.
Good luck on your journey to good health. I really do think you'll love it here at MFP!0
