Eating for your blood type

Someone recently gave me a book about eating/exercises based on your blood type.
After reading mine, I'm in trouble! Most of the foods they say to avoid for my type are the ones I love most and east most often. Even the type of exercise they say is most beneficial is what I like the least! I would b ea happy camper if my blood type was O
Has anyone tried this type of diet for any reason? The book I have is actually supposed to help control symptoms of menopause too.
