    Hi!
I have the same MFP Calories intake per day & I eat about to 900 to 1100 sometime i go over but not much, i eat 3 meals a day (Healthy Choice frozen meals) their about 250-300 calories & still snack in between meals like Yogurt 100 cal., almonds nuts & sometime I have some sweet potato chips that is 140 cal. & dont get hungry & i dont feel like my starving my self. & also go for a 45min - 1hr walk & it I burn 250 - 300 cal. so I eat more to fill it up. You can eat more but just watch what your eating :) hope this help. Good luck

Im NOT starving myself!!! My diary is open so people are welcome to view I eat quite a decent amount! I eat more now than I did before deciding to loose weight just eat healthier things....

Not wanting to enter the fray more, as it seems like there's lots of good advice here... Just noting that your diary is actually restricted only to your "friends" on the site... no biggie either way, but just letting you know. :)

I'm new to all this and only started training yesterday but what is TDEE? This is the 1st time ive ever dieted to lose a large amount ....probably skint really daft asking that haha

It's your Total Daily Energy Ependiture - i.e Maintenance calories.
BMR = the amount of calories you would need to sustain your body if you were in a coma.

look up your BMR and your TDEE and them aim for eating somewhere in between for a safe steady fat loss.

    Good Luck.

it says my body would need 1,400cals.....but how can this be accurate for everyone as everyone is diff?

One thing to consider if you feel you are eating as much as you can and you are still losing a healthy amount of weight - is maybe you are not estimating your portions correctly and are actually eating a bit more than you think.

I had no idea what real portion sizes were until i started to measure everything. Do that for a week and see if you're actually not getting closer to 1,200 - 1,400 calories per day.

    Hi,

I too only manage to eat around 1000 calories a day, I also burn off about 500 calories three times a week at the gym. I try to add more high calorie foods such as avocado in my salad, porridge with mixed nuts and berries and I sometimes eat muller yoghurts in between meals as a snack. I have managed to lose 3 pounds and am struggling with the rest so hopefully this will work

Ignoring all the rude & ignorant comments on here there is some really good advice.

One comment that I did notice was that you know that it will take time. That is really good. Take it slow, let your body adjust, set small goals, follow what you body is telling you. Ask for advice & support.

Above all. Be happy. You will get there.
