HRM do you calculate the calories burned for your entire workout session i.e. cardio and weight training and/or classes? Or do you use it just to track your cardio calories burned? Just curious...

Thanks,
Brandi

I leave it on the whole time. As long as my heart rate is in zone (or really close) while I'm working out, I count it.

I use it for the whole workout. Since I transfer from gym to ballet class, I turn off the wrist thingy (it can be paused) while I'm driving from one location to the other, and turn it back on for the ballet class itself.

On a good day, I'll burn about 800 cals for about 3 hours of workout and ballet. Before, with the machine and with the HRM I had that didn't include height, age, etc. it was a higher number. I think this one's more realistic.
