So if anyone lives close, or have been, can you give me some tourist ideas. What is a must see?

I know that Busch Gardens is a must go to place, but I was wondering about other places as well. Anything educational but not boring.. I'll have a 12 year old, so he must be entertained at all times.

I'll be staying a week, so my next question, is there a gym nearby? A walking track? A park? Anywhere that I can get my exercise in on the week that I wont be surrounded by my normal things. Just trying to get a headstart on this so there wont be any surprises. Any help would be greatly appreciated. :)

Thanks guys and gals ahead of time.

I'm putting this ontop in hopes someone comments.
  • I'm in VA and we got to W'Burg quite often because my BIL and SIL have a timeshare there. You've already said you'll be going to BG which is really nice, we had season passes a few years ago and enjoyed it every time we went. As far as things to do that are fun/educational you definitely want to check out Jamestown Settlement, Colonial Williamsburg (you can see live re-enactments of the Civil War and other important events in history) and there are quite a few museums around there.. If you are into ghosts, check out one of the Ghost Walks. We've never done that one, but only because my hubby thinks stuff like that is bogus. There's great dining, shopping and walking tours in Colonial W'Burg that are quite enjoyable as well. There's more, but this is pretty much what we've done when we're there. You can google Colonial Williamsburg or try something for America's Historic Triangle and you'll be able to find all sorts of ideas on places to go and things to do/see. You can probably find info on gyms and such on the Colonial site also. Have fun!!

Thanks for posting. I heard Colonial Williamsburg was pretty awesome, so thats definately on the list of things to do. I've never been on a ghost walk, so that sounds cool. I'll have to google that.

Thanks so much for giving me ideas :) Greatly appreciated.
