Hello Fitness pals!
My name is Jason, I just turned 35 a couple weeks ago. My story reads like just about any average persons. Tried all the diets, yo-yo'd on all of them. Joined Medical Weightloss, lost 40 lbs in 6/months.
Dealt with illness and injuries since then and gained it all back.
I decided all the excuses not to do this were bogus. All the "I'll start dieting on Monday(s)".....well, this is my Monday...THIS IS MY NOW!
My doctor actually referred me to this site and I think being involved in an online community like this one will be a big help.

  • Welcome Jason,
Glad that your doctor recommended this site. It is really great to get advice, talk to people in your same situation, and to just have motivation from others going through the same struggles. I live in Michigan as well and wish my doctors had recommended this site to me years ago. I was lucky enough to find it during a search online and I have been a member ever since. I still have a long way to go but I have completely changed my eating habits and feel better and have even started to lose weight. Let me know if you need any support or have any questions I may or may not be able to help with!

Btw, what part of Michigan are you from?

Well, tonight is BIGGEST LOSER night...I love that show too! It gets me motivated to want to do something. I just have a problem with the follow through. :grumble:
A friend and I have Biggest Loser nights...when I'm not working late.

I am from Lincoln Park, downriver area. Thanks for the reply.

For your ticker to be stuck at the bottom of your posts, copy the code, go to "my home", go to "settings", go to "forum signature", then paste the code there. Not that you asked, I just noticed. :glasses:

Yeah, but Tequila is nasty. That's one of the good thing I have going for me. I don't smoke, rarely ever drink, and I don't do drugs...except for the occasional Motrin.
