i have been going to the gym regularly for the past few weeks after a LONG break with no exercise. at first when i started on the cross trainer my heart rate would sometimes go up to 187-190. but for the past few days, even though i am doing the same amount of time at the same intensity/incline, it is only going up to 176 at most, usually below 170. also I am not sweating as much. Does this mean i am getting fitter/??? exercise also seems to be more tough for me in the morning...

First let me say I'm no expert, but this is my experience as well. The same happened to me in several weeks on the ellipitical. Hope this helps.:flowerforyou:0

I'd like to know that answer too......and I can't exercise before I go to work. I have to be up at least an hour before I can exercise and by that time it's too late too get a workout in in the morning0

Over time your cardio fitness will improve and your Max HR will go down.... I could easily get my HR into the high 170, low 180 but after 32 months I avg at best mid 150 and barely ever get mine above 165 anymore and sometimes I have to work my butt off to get it up that high.... On the other end my resting HR at 560 lbs. was 105ish BPM and today it is 72ish..... Hope that helps..... No expert here just my own personal observation.....0
