Too much Sugar? How does MFP calculate it?

Options
Hi,

Over the past few days I have been under or on my calorie limit, and on all other stuff like protein, carbs, and fat. However, when I look at the break-down of the nutrients, on my ipod - not sure how to see it in the same way on the computer - MFP always highlights in red that I over my sugar intake. It is generally about 60g per day, my goal carb consumption is 129g per day.

At the moment it's late summer in NZ, so there is a lot of fruit around. I generally eat a few kiwi fruit, blueberries, and strawberries per day, which accounts for the sugar. Does anyone know if eating natural sugars even if it's under my target carb intake would affect weight loss?

Cheers,
Ange

If all your sugar is coming from natural sources, like fruit, don't worry about it! It's the highly processed/refined sugars you need to worry about. Just be sure it's not added sugar to foods you eat. It does impact your carb count, but if you're always under in carbs, you are fine!
