Hey everyone. I need some advice. I am about to make a major career change from working at a desk and part time in a retail store to working in a coffee shop and keeping my retail job. I am going to be on my feet all the time which scares me as I am also training for some 1/2 and full marathons.

Currently I have been keeping my calories at 1200 as quoted in the seditary option for calorie count. When I work my retail job I track about 20% of my time in exercise as "fishing -standing from a riverbank". Odd eh? I found I was still able to still lose weight on a steady basis while eating these extra calories. When tracking diligently I can lose around 1/2 to a full pound per week.

Now, when I went to change my settings to reflect a more active lifestyle I am only give an extra 60 calories!!! Are you kidding me? I have no idea how I will stick to that.

Suggestions anyone? I am very good about eating back my exercise calories from running too.

My suggestion is to up your calories if you think you should. 1200 or 1260 is not a lot. You can eat more and still lose weight. :)

I'd say stick with what works! Continue to track your work hours as you have been, go back to the original settings. Don't fret about it too much, because that worry can stall your progress!
