can you do a paleo/primal diet as a vegetarian?

my gut instinct is to say no since it appears from the research that i've done that the majority of the protein comes from animal products (i do eat eggs though and on occasion i will eat fish, but it's happened once in the past 8 months). however, the thought of the diet is appealing...

  • Do it anyway! If you don't like it after a while you can always stop.

Have a look at MarksDailyApple.com - while he doesn't agree with vegetarianism there is plenty of information about following the Primal Blueprint as a vegetarian.

I'm sure somewhere during the paleozoic there were herbavores. I'd try it. there are plenty of protein alternatives to support you. GO for it and let us know how it goes!
