Headstands and other strange things we are motivated to do

Ok so I'm still getting into the whole moving more / getting fitter thing, and funny things keep happening - like I suddenly had the urge to do a headstand. I haven't done this for probably 20 years! It took a few goes for me to get up, and I could only hold it for a second, but I did it!

Unfortunately I seem to have crunched the vertebrae of my neck which is pinching a nerve, ouch!

Glad I did it? Yes! Planning on doing it again any time soon... possibly not lol. I guess I didn't have so much weight to put on my head 20 years ago!

Has anyone else found themselves doing bizarre things like this as a result of feeling motivated? Did it end in disaster like my attempt just did?

    Too early on yet. However one of my goals is to be able to do standing back and front flips like I use to be able to do.

    I want to get to where I can do just one chinup :P
