Do we need to work out every day of the week?
I find when I do I am so run down I end up getting headaches and a lot of body pains. I only do "cardio" type work right now because I don't really know much about weights.

It depends what you are doing. But, even intense workouts like P90X give you one day of rest. I run 4 days a week, and that's enough for me. I need to rest in-between. I was doing everyday workouts, weight training M, W, F and cardio T, Th, Sat. But, I was so tired all the time. I think being a little older now, I need to rest more.

Part of it is just finding something that works for you. Everyone is different.

It's because you're not recovering. People neglect recovery, especially while being in calorie deficit.

Sometimes though, people simply don't drink enough water. Dehydration makes you feel tired. So, if you want to keep up the workouts, try adding more water and see if that makes a difference.
