    sorry I've been away...I've been sick the last couple of days (well...cramps). Friday I didn't get my Wii Fit in, I managed to walk Gypsie and then had to take a bunch of pain killers, curl up into a ball and cry lol. I did do Wii Fit yesterday after work around 11pm....so here are there scores from that. I'll have to do it again when I get home from work tonight.

    10 minute hula: 3298
    20 min step: 2503
    advanced step: 557
    Long Run: 80%

    Hi All,

    I'm new but thought this might come in handy. It's from Wii, but in Japanese. It's fairly easy though; you can look at the pics for the Wii Fit and figue calories burned -- or at least a good idea! You just click the little box at the bottom with the arrow, put in your weight (KG) and then click on each of the Fit activities that you do and time.

    Ok so If you can read Japanese...... this would be GREAT!! So, how many of you can read Japanese?
    hm.... come on I know someone can? It only take years to learn to read it.

    Actually, you don't need to read Japanese. Just click the Picture of the arrow at the start page. Click the other arrows to put your weight in KG. Then you just click on the PICTURES of the Wii erercises. It looks just like thescreen on your Wii Fit. My only actual effort was converting my pounds to kgs.

    Alright ladies... I need to know how you guys are getting over 2000 steps on the free step! It doesn't matter what I try I can't get it past the 1900 mark; I'm fairly certain that it isn't actually counting all my steps. I know the actual score shouldn't matter, as long as I'm feeling the burn... and trust me I am... but still, I want in on the secret! :sad:

    What I do to get it over 2000 is step as fast as I can. But watch your counter. If you step too fast it won't register your steps. Also, Make sure you get your feet squarely on the board. I notice when I fast step and only use the balls of my feet on the board it won't register. I also turn the sound off so I don't try to step to their rhithym ( I know I can't spell, been married to my hubby too long, LOL) But don't worry about how many steps you are doing. The goal with the 20 min step is to get your heart rate up and keep it up. When you keep it up you burn more calories. Hope this helps. You're doing great!

    Ok, i did the wii fit yesterday, but I noticed I missed the advanced step, so I will post what I did yesterday and what I do tonight and let you know how I did! Yay!! :wink:

    This is only a suggestion.....

    If you put your controller on your body somewhere you will increase your Long run %. When you hold it in your hand it doesn;t move the same as it would if it is on your body.

    I use my iPod while doing the Adv Hula and Free Step... it really seems to help pass the time. Also, I always do the Warrior pose in the yoga section at the end; it really helps me stretch out my hips because they're usually achy by the end of the 40mins.

    Oh... and last night I watched the counter on the free step, and it definiately isn't counting all my steps (even when I make sure my feet are landing squarely on the board). I would do 4 steps and sometimes it only counted one. :angry: Whatever, I know I had my heartrate up and I was sweating by the end which means I'm doing something right. :tongue:

    Sorry I didn't update yesterday. Work kicked my butt and then I came home to walk the pups, do my Wii Fit and crash lol

    I've been working out on the wii fit, but, haven't recorded my scores. I have been having such a hard time, probably because I'm not used to excercising. When you do the "long run" is it the island lap? Or the one before that? And do you guys just run in place? Because I've tried running around the house, and my percentages are pretty low, but I've been holding the remote. And, toward the end, I'll run fast, and then I fall over! How can you get such high percentages if it doesn't allow you to run very fast.... Maybe I'm doing something wrong? :grumble:

    WELCOME!! For the run you go under "Basic Run" and then select Long Run...the Island Lap is longer than the long run. You want to stick your Wii remote in a pocket or you can get a remote holster...or find some other way to connect it to your waist....it is more accurate that way. You want to run in place and keep a steady pace. The running isn't about speed.

    Welcome dmmarie! the long run is the one before the island lap. (I think now that I'm thinking of it!) I am having trouble getting my rate up too. it is very incosistant. i will have a high rate one time and a really low rate the next and I am doing the same thing. I tried putting the remote in my pocket yesterday and the rate was lower. I do run in place cause I don't have much room to move! Good luck and Welcome to the group!

    Side notes : Long run, it only took 3 minutes. I thought I saw 10 min run on here posted before. :huh: So, I'm confused. Do I just do it a bunch of times to equal 10 min? :noway: :laugh: And the free step, UGH. I was watching tv while I was doing it and I got excited because I thought I heard the ice cream man :laugh: :grumble: (Not that I could have anything :blushing: ) and accidently pressed the wrong button to change back to the game and quit the step! UGHH. I think I was only about 12 min into it too :sad: Oh well.. Always tomorrow! :drinker:

    Ok Y'all I was a lazy woman last night. Going to the laundry mat with my son takes alot out of a sista. I should be considering that exercise in itself. But anywho... no excuses I was lazy last night. But not today. After a luncheon at women's group this morning I did well not stuffing my face and made sure to get alot of fruit and just a little of the good stuff.... and let me tell you. You get 30 women over the age of 60 and you know the food is KILLER. Bad for the diet too.

    Hope you all are doing well and anyone new since yesterday ...WELCOME!! hope you all are enjoying your work out and keep in mind it gets easier.

    BTW I am ready to add leg weights to my step, free and advanced. YEAH!!

    I think I saw that too... but no you don't have to do it a bunch of times; just once! Mine takes either 3 or 4 min depending on how steady I run.

    I didn't get a chance to post yesterday's results, so here's yesterdays and today's for me:

    This was a great challenge. Definitely gave me a reason to use my Wii Fit, especially because my son is sick and I couldn't get out to workout.

    good morning to all yesterday went to do wii and it told me the batterys are not good i forgot until i went on this morning and was told the ssame so when i go out i will get new batterys.. i have been doing walking in place with out it

    dmmarie- that 30 day shed is KILLER!!! I have trouble keeping up with it. I want to do it again now that I have been working out lately. I love Jillian! So motivating!!
