How accurate are they, and is it possible to sync them to MFP at all?

Heart Rate Monitors aren't designed to track calories when your heart isn't at an elevated rate. My Polar actually stated that it's most accurate at tracking when your heart rate is at a base level of at least 125-130. So trying to wear your HRM all day will just be an effort in futility.

If you want a daily calorie tracker then you need something in the BodyMedia Fit/BodyBugg, FitBit, Nike FuelBand, or Jawbone UP category. Those are designed very differently from HRMs and use your body's movements and other indicators to estimate your caloric burn.

As for syncing with MFP, your only option of anything listed is the FitBit.
