The 1200 calorie diet and sleep

Ever since going on this diet, I have trouble sleeping. I work the midnight shift, and I used to be able to come home and go to bed. Now since I started dieting, I'm lucky if I'm asleep by 11 a.m and even luckier if I can sleep six hours straight. Today, I was in bed by 9:30, woke up probably 3 or 4 times and I was back up by 2:30 because I gave up, and with all the waking up and not being able to go back to sleep, I got 3 hours if I was lucky, and I had my earplugs in too so there wouldn't be anything waking me up. Ex: the old man, dogs, lol. Any suggestions on what to do here? I'm sick of having to nap in the evening before work.

Sounds like you need to eat more, if your body is hungry, it needs food to nourish it, especially if you were used to eating quite a bit more. Did you go to 1200 calories just because MFP told you 1200 is what you need? I changed mine to 1500 because I know I need more based on my BMR and my activity level.0

I'm going with the 1200 just starting out. I usually wasn't eating my exercise calories, but I have been lately. I've been trying to make a habit of eating something small when I come home before I go to bed, but that's not helping either. I'm not drinking much caffeine either. IDK what to do.0
