ok so my roommate is moving out at the end of the month and she is taking our microwave.

i'm going to replace it with EITHER a new microwave OR a toaster oven. i'm really torn as to what to buy, i miss having a toaster oven but i've never gone without a micro. i definitely don't have room for both.

is it really possible to live without a microwave? honestly the only thing i really use it for is to reheat frozen meatballs that i've cooked in bulk. i can do that in a toaster oven right?

help!

If I had to choose 1 to keep, I'd keep my toaster overn.

I actually use it to *cook* whereas the microwave is a convenience generally for warming things up.

It is totally possible to go without the microwave. Get the toaster oven. I didn't have a mircowave for a while until my mom recently bought me one for my birthday.
  • so far, i'm leaning towards toaster oven too.

what about reheating things like quinoa, beans, etc?

I would go with a microwave, they're more versatile. Also, they are more energy efficient, believe it or not.

Toaster Oven all the way! You won't even miss the microwave.

I hardly ever use my microwave. I do use my toaster oven alot. BUT... if you have a working oven, use that & do the microwave. That's my 2 cents! :-)
