Can someone explain this?

I just dont understand if I put in for my goals that I want to loose 2lbs a week.... why does it give me a plan that has me at .6 pounds a week? That is not even one pound a week? Can someone explain this to me? I copied what it prduced for me.... Thanx!:flowerforyou:

    MFP won't let you net lower than 1200 calories per day because it's not healthy.
  • You should never eat below 1200 calories a day - if you do, your body can freak out and turn itself into 'survival mode', where it will actually burn fewer calories doing every day activities because it thinks that it's starving and needs to stockpile.

  • You can't safely lose 2lbs per week. MFP will not recommend less than 1200 calories per day. To lose 2lbs per week you'd need to create a 1000 calorie deficit every day. If I'm doing my math right, MFP is giving you a 300 calorie deficit. If you had a 1000 calorie deficit you'd only be eating 500 calories a day. You'd be seriously malnourished.
