HUNGER!!!

What do you guys do to combate hunger? I'm so freakin' hungry & I try all the "this should fight hunger" tactics like drinking lots of water and having enough protien & taking vitamins but the hunger is my downfall. Sadly enough, when I eat something bad (full of fat & calories) not only does it stop it, but it also seems I can go longer than eating healthier food.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    If you THINK that fatty foods will keep you fuller, that will be your reality. Just sayin'.

    I do have days where I don't plan my meals out super well and have huger before I am ready for more food.....here are a few things I do...

    1) The BEST thing I've done is learned to sit with it and realize that hunger is not an alarm that something is wrong.......it's my body telling me it's working efficiently, it used up what I put in. And I'm ok with letting that just sit for a while. When I stopped feeling bad and anxious about being hungry, that's one of the best things I did.

    2) chew gum

    3) make sure I spread out my meals so I'm eating every 3 hours ish. that way if I do get hungry, my next meal isn't that far off. and I can live with that.

    4) drink a diet soda. the carbonation is filling without adding calories to my day.

    5) I want to be thinner and healthier MUCH MORE than I want to eat.

  • There are lots of healthy fats out there and it feels that way because fat and protein DO fill you up for longer. Things like fish, eggs (the yolks!), olive oil, real butter, avocado's are all great (in moderation) and may help you fill up.
