Raw-v-Cooked - how much does it matter?

Hi
I am pretty organised so I do a lot of preparation for my meals in advance. With me doing this I put all items I need to cook in my diary as raw weight. I know cooking changes the weight of food but how much will it change the calorific content?
Is it so bad I am doing it this way?
Just to add if I am doing something like mashed sweet potato I put the butter I am going to add to it down as a separate item, same with anything I am roasting in an oil.
Thanks

I will be steaming a lot of the veg but I am only concerned if it adds calories. Losing a few will only be a benefit0
