I have a hamster who loves to tear aparts cartons boxes -.-

Other than that, he's pretty standard. He knows some tricks, but can't be bothered to do them :P

Can I ask, does your pidgeon poop on the floor like other pidgeons?

No strange pets just a cat and dog that love to eat fresh fruit and veggies.
  • I have a bearded dragon which most would consider strange... i dont though...... although the keepers full of crickets and locusts *kitten* some people right up

    Cute pigeon.

My only pet is my tortoise. I'd consider him 'strange' but probably not the same way you're implying!

Cool. Do you know what species? :D
  • I was raising a wild baby bird for a few weeks (his name was Fuzzy...unfortunately, he died, but he had a great last couple of weeks!), used to have pet toads, madagascar hissing cockroaches, iguanas, rats, gerbils, fish, cats, dogs......umm....maybe more!

Right now, my fiance and I have 3 cats and a bearded dragon. We don't have (nor do we want) any human children, but we consider them to be our children. Our furry and scaly babies. :)

One of the cats even loves to try to "help" me do push-ups......as in, she lies down under me and meows. :-P

I don't have any currently, but I've had pet rats, a winter white hamster, cockatiels, a guinea pig...and also chickens and ducks (not mine but they lived in the compound I did) ok so i guess nothing too out of the ordinary, but I worked at a pet store...so I've seen it all. As house guests....not really tame but we cohabitated: I've lived with hissing cockroaches(the giant madagascar ones), snakes, mice, geckos, centipedes, chameleons and frogs.
Then of course all the normal ones...cats, dogs and fish.
btw I LOVE bearded dragons! They have the greatest personalities. I came so close to buying one a while back, but I was moving so I talked some sense into myself.

I currently have a cat, a beardie and two fish tanks (both cold water) but in the past have had chickens, a duck, rats, gerbils, guinea pigs and a rabbit...beardies used to be considered strange but they're so common now I think people accept them as normal. Can't put pics up, not a member of instagram or anything!

Oh and I found a baby chaffinch in the garden once and took it inside coz it was cowering in the rock garden and I didn't want the cat to get it. Warmed it up then put it back where I found it but out of reach of the cat. Went back to check on it and it was gone so I assumed the parents came back for it.

Love that your pigeon wears a flight suit!! My 3 bratty parrots won't wear them...have a sun conure, african senegal and blue and gold macaw...not a strange pet but most people don't consider parrots pets...I really consider them kids. Especially when they beg, destroy things and say bad words. :grumble:

In addition to my puppy, Honey (profile pic), I have 2 hedgehogs. I guess the hedgies would fall into the strange category.

The female hedgie is named Miss Muffet:

I've got horses & cats...but they aren't strange as pets...or maybe they are. :) For a strange "pet" here's Booger....

    014-7.jpg

I don't think he'll ever get turn into steaks & roasts. He's become too much of a pet. Booger knows how to lead, back up, "wait" while I put his hay in his trough, comes when you call him and he loves his "cookies" aka horse treats. I'm working on teaching him how to pick up his hooves. lol

My hubby and I were just talking today about getting a skunk (since he is allergic to cats). Yes, we were serious! When they are descented they don't smell and are litter trainable. They are shy and loving. I doubt we will go through with it since we also have a dog who I wouldn't trust with it.
