NSV - self control

This is a major victory for me.
When I was at school, until I was about 14 I was always the biggest one of my friends and in an attempt to be 'skinny't I ended up crash dieting and developed an eating disorder. I did end up being 'skinny' but not at all healthy and I had no muscle definition or anything else that comes with sensible dieting and exercising. So, ultimately I was still very unhappy with my body.
I managed to overcome this to a certain extent, when I was about 17/18 but since then I have gained and lost weight rapidly every couple of months because I have always done everything in extremes, I have ate waaay too much junk for months and at other times ate hardly anything at all. The main reason because when it came to food, I had no self control what soever.
Since I discovered MFP a couple of months ago and have been able to track what I'm eating, and more importantly what I need to eat, I haven't felt the need binge or crash diet, and I don't feel so guilty if I have an 'off' day. I have also done more exercise in the last couple of months than I probably ever have in my life, and for once I feel positive about the steps I'm taking and see this as a lifestyle change rather than a 'diet.'
This might not be a massive nsv for some people but it is for me and it's because of all you lovely supportive people on here
