so i usually do pretty well during the week because i work somewhere that there aren't any good restaurants, i bring all my food for breakfast to 4 pm... so really just one meal in the evening at home.
but, on the weekend i tend to go way off track. i usually am at my calorie goal by mid afternoon, or we have friends call who want to go to dinner... then i overdo it. so i wish i knew a way i could keep myself under wraps on the weekend. any tips for me? i already drink a ton of water.

Be mindful of what you eat. Don't eat anything without thinking - that's how I usually eat things that are terrible for me.
Where do you most often go off track? At home, or when you're out with friends? If you usually overeat when you're out, budget your calories before you go out to leave room, or vice versa.
If you do go over your calorie limit, exercise some of it off. Even if you only exercise off 30 calories, that's still something.
If you're well under your calorie limit, feel free to eat things for the taste, to try them, to be sociable, or to satisfy a craving. However, as a general rule of thumb, eat things because you're hungry.
Don't panic if you go over your calorie limit occasionally.
That said, don't take my tips too seriously - I'm 18 and have horrific eating habits which I'm working on.0 -
Hey there MJ7010!
I wish I had the answers to the weekend conundrum, as I too have a big problem with it. Like you, I eat just fine during the week, but something goes wrong on the weekends. The best advice that I still struggle to follow is to eat on the weekends like you would during the week. For example, during the week-I eat a very small reasonable breakfast and a morning snack. On the weekends, I have no problem making biscuits, eggs, bacon, etc. This is overkill! Then on top of that, we go out for lunch or dinner and also, over do it-and if you drink any beer or wine-forget it!
So the advice is to eat like you would during the week on the weekends and only go "crazy" at one meal-and even at that meal-make smart choices while out and don't go crazy. Then add some extra exercise to ward off the extra meal's calories. The idea is that eventually our social activities will not revolve around food. Until then, we struggle. Good luck with your weekends!
