    Where's Miss Correll?

This morning I started drinking a soda for breakfast......for BREAKFAST! :noway:  Ewww. Anyway, at least I didn't eat any of the doritos I was eyeing up. I made a 9pm Sheetz trip last night AFTER I had already eaten dinner and got a breakfast sandwich and a bag of doritos, and the whole time I was thinking I don't need this, and I don't really even want this. :grumble: Stupid decision!

Well, I'm knocking some sense into myself (while starting to read Jillian's new book) and I'm really doing to try to workout tonight. Nooooo....I WILL workout tonight!

Rach - you will workout tonight.....you will workout tonight.....you will workout tonight.....

Did you eat doritos last night? Avoid convenience stores - still to the grocery store at least when you walk in your looking at produce (in most stores) If you need a salty fix, at least go for the light or fat free chips - they are crap in nutrition for you but aren't all chips....If you want a sweet fix try fruits - cut up strawberries and put on angel food cake (fat free) top with fat free cool whip - YUMMMMY

    Just some ideas.....

By next week we're gonna celebrate under 200 right!?!

Morning all. I didn't eat sweets last night-Yay me!! My daughter lay beside me and did. I had a migraine though. Going to Physio, and at least there I get my cardio done-it's an athletic conditioning and rehab place. Hope to be good....:flowerforyou:

j_g - be sure to pack some healthy treats with you so that after you get your blood drawn you can get something healthy, filling & satisfying on your belly pronto!! Take a couple of bottles of water & drink those down, along with some raw almonds, pretzles or fruit!! Hang in there!! You're doing so great & you deserve it!!

Rach, keep going!! You're doing so well!! Baby steps!! Throw those Doritos in the trash!! Open the bag & dump them in the trash!!! Get them GONE!! I'm excited for you to be so close to being under 200!! Keep at it girl!! You ROCK!!

Chrissy, boy did we miss you!! Your positive energy just keeps us all going!!

I am so hungry today!! Don't really know why!! I just ate a salad & some almonds. I plan to workout in about an hour. Hopefully that'll be long enough! I'd hate to barf on my basement floor!

I  Jillian Michaels more and more every day!!!

Not as much as I love you guys though!

I realized today while reading her book and listening to her radio show, that I think of bad foods as 'unhealthy' in terms of 'this will make me fat', instead of thinking 'this food is literally KILLING me'. Like those doritos....think of all the chemicals and CRAP they use to make those! It's no longer appealing. Like she says...there are foods with the chemical used in making LIGHTER FLUID in them! Yikes! And we eat this stuff because it 'tastes good'.

I knew all these things she talks about before, but I think things are finally starting to click for me and instead of looking at things in terms of it making me fat or skinny, I look at things and how they're going to affect my health, how long I live, and my quality of life. :flowerforyou:

I really think I'm hitting my turning point.

    Hey guys!!!! :flowerforyou:

Sorry about being MIA. I was busy at work on Monday, spent Tuesday prepping stuff for a conference in Northern VA on Wednesday, left Tuesday @ 4:00 for a four-hour drive to NoVa, stayed with my co-worker's family and went to the conference all day Wednesday.

I lost 2 pounds (as of Saturday, which is my weigh-in) for this week and am at 250. BUT, after the past few days... I really think I've gained. I didn't eat much last week because I was really sick. But, boy am I making up for it this week! On Monday, I was so ravenous. I was craving a Tendercrisp from BK (for the first time in over 6 months), so I got it. No fries, no pop. Tuesday... I ate lots! I had a lot of Fiber One cereal, two Fiber One pop tarts, a footlong sub... then we left for our trip and stopped at Taco Bell halfway there (I got a chalupa), and her parents served us this awesome shrimp salad on croissants, pasta salad and wine for dinner. The next morning was butter rum cake for breakfast and hazelnut coffee. Mmm!! And, our lunch at the conference was a turkey wrap... which wouldn't have been bad if I hadn't have followed it with a big cookie and a brownie. That evening, I had a roast beef and 3 mozzarella sticks from Arby's. I was just so hungry.

I have been the same way today, but I've tried to pick my foods a bit better. I had Fiber One cereal for breakfast, 2 fiber one bars as snacks, a salad and fruit for lunch and I'm going to have a baked potato for dinner. But, I stepped on the scale this morning and I must be retaining water like crazy because it said I weighed 261 and I was 250 on Saturday. :noway:

I've been drinking a lot of water today, though, so I'm hoping that will come off. I need to get my eating back under control. I didn't get to exercise yesterday, but I did on Tuesday. So, tonight I'm doing the elliptical and probably the 30 day shred.

I've just been so darn hungry. :ohwell: And craving foods I haven't craved in months. In fact, since I got sick, I can't even eat some of the things I was eating... they turn my stomach.

Anyway... I'm glad to see you guys are doing well. Hotmom, I hope you're feeling better!! J_g, hope your blood draw goes well! Rach, I can't wait to partay for under 200!! :drinker: Sanifrey, 40 pounds! Woohoo!!

everything went great with the blood draw. My husband made me a turkey with cheese sandwhich on whole wheat bread, string cheese and some strawberries. Yummo. Good thing we went grocery shopping yesterday. We were living on cereal and that was about it. Bought myself a new pair of rollar blades and the kids some skates also so we can go skating. They are still getting the hang of it all but they are getting better. I can't wait to go out on my own and burn some calories. We are all going to go for a walk again so maybe some more playground. Its so much fun. Its beautiful at 87 a little too warm for me and my seizures but I'm handling it. They say snow by this weekend. Welcome to Minnesota. :grumble:

    You guys are doing great.

Rach- I listen to Jillians radio show and its like a whole new light for me It makes me energized. I so understand what you are talking about.

lcorrell- what you are going through this week is what I was going through last week I just couldn't get out and then I woke up one morning and just told myself no I'm getting back on the wagon.

It will be 1 year in July since I started this journey and as much as I'm kinda disappointed I don't think I will hit my goal weight by then my new goal is to be at 140 by my birthday but hopefully before. I will try my hardest by the end of the summer to get there. 33 more pounds guys. :drinker:

You guys are so positive and inspirational! I went grocery shopping today and got some raw chicken...can you believe I've never cooked chicken before!? I also got some 'green' cleaning products, like the all purpose that you mis yourself and stuff. It was funny because while I was stocking up on fresh fruits and veggies and chicken, my bf is stocking up on processed meats and nutty bars, and snacky lunch type foods for work. Haha, we've designated him a cupboard to keep all 'his' food in so that it's out of sight, out of mind for me. He doesn't mind eating healthy but he doesn't see why he should 'give up' his nasty crap. Whatever, I'll be hott an he'll be jealous, but I really wish he'd adopt these habits too because if he's 'the one' he better be on the same page when I start having kids because I do NOT want them raised with the habits I had. Anywaaaay, off my soapbox!

All this reading and research has my mind buzzing!

Oh yea...I sat down and made some goals today!

-Going back to 5am workouts, because there are no distractions and no time t omake excuses. That and I don't skip breakfast like normal!

-I figured my BMR to be about 2000cal to maintain so I'm going to eat 1400 on rest days and at least 1600 when I exercise. This should be an easy 1lb a week loss.

-Try to eat little to no processed foods, and find a health food store that's local.

-Drink my water!!! I have to go to D!ck's to get a decent BIG reusable one.

-When I run out of products, try to replace them with 'green' ones whenever possible. I need to pick up reusable grocery totes!

Etc... I feel more accomplished already, just having sat down and written these out!

Rach- You have some wonderful plans and its great that you wrote them down.

I rollar bladed tonight #1 I didn't realize that our streets were so crappy. :grumble: I burned 400 calories in a mile and my heart rate didn't go over 130. I was thinking about taking them back my feet hurt so bad however, my husband said the street sweeper goes by then it will be easier. So we will have to see I really hope I didn't waste my money on something I'm not going to use. I think I will jog or go for a fast walk tomorrow. Then this weekend I will take a break crazy weekend.

leigh - Sounds like you've been busy! Glad to have you back though! :flowerforyou:

Thanks-2 days now with no sweets! So tempted... My shoulder is on the mend. Still sore, but Physio has helped a ton. They're impressed with my progress. Did a good workout there yesterday. Of course my weight starts to go up-WHY???It's making me crazier than I already am! :grumble:  Napped afterwards, but I made a good supper-Thai chicken, ww pasta with spag sauce and parm and veggies. And, of course, only my 12 yr old was there to enjoy it. Dang teens. So leftovers tonight-yay! My 16 yr old daughter came in to town yesterday for Team Manitoba Female Hockey tryouts. She's my goalie who has been living in Kelowna, BC on a hockey scholarship. Should be awesome hockey to watch. Cross your fingers for her please-she so wants to make it! Of course we do too! Anyway, yesterday evening, I put on my Ipod and picked up dog poo, and tidied the yard for about 1 1/2 hours. I took bonus calories for it. But my whole body aches like crazy. I had, and still have restless legs. Anyone heard of that? I was up at 4:00am online looking for a remedy and only saw bad news on it. So I put the Heat cream on and luckily dosed off. May lie down soon again. I'm bagged. Big delema: friends asked out for supper for Sat. to a fattening restaurant. What am I gonna do? Have a good weekend guys! Go Blues!:drinker:

kath-you can find something that's a resonably good choice - maybe an appetizer......

way to go Rach- drink your water - it will help you in craving other stuff

Jess-is there a reason you like your heart rate at 130? My own zone on my Polar F6 is in the 150s....just curious....

    leigh-glad to see you here!

I seem to feel like I handle stress better now - I think exercise is an EXCELLENT vehicle to let it go....anyone else found that to be true??

Today was a very busy busy day. I had to go to one town for appointments and then come home and then another town to drop off my son with my husband. I stopped at BK for my daughter and it was so tempting to get something however I didn't. I waited till I got home and had a tuna sandwich with cheese and string cheese and a glass of milk. Im so proud of myself. :drinker:

hmo4- we are going to shop shop shop and only eat healthy. I was thinking extreme pita. There is a website you should check out. I haven't decided if I was going to bring my daughter or not. Maybe we could hit some rummage sales. I'm so excited can't wait.
