So, I'm going to the Calgary Expo at the end of April with my hubby and since he went out of his way to buy the uber-expensive tickets (and since it turns out that the ENTIRE original cast of Star Trek: the Next Generation is gonna be there YAY!), I've been working my front and sides off (my butt is fine) off to make sure that I look good for the con. I'm planning to go as a steampunk schoolgirl, and figuring out how to make that work has been a challenge, but I have a few ideas. The problem so far has been getting 'school attire' that isn't slutty. I'm going for cute here, but cute in my size is being uncooperative.

ANYway, I have this black, pleated skirt from back in the day that - if it was blue - would be perfect for my outfit. But since it's the style of pleated skirt I'm having my hubby make for me for the con, I figured I'd try it on to get a rough idea of how far off the pattern would be. IT FIT! ZIPPED UP ALL THE WAY AND BUTTONED AT THE TOP!

I still can't believe it, I love that skirt, but I haven't been able to fit into it since before my wedding almost seven years ago.^_^ I mean, sure it was tight, but Chris told me that it didn't fit as well on me before as it does now! Oh my gosh, it's working! I'm seriously losing fat and inches if that particular skirt is able to be even a tight fit! Thanks for listening minna ^_^
