Hello since early january I have been using MFP daily and have lost 19lbs too date by eating 1260 cals a day and the goals of here were set to loose 1.5lbs a week.

I have thought about this and as much as I need to lose around 20-30lbs I have decided to set my goals to the RECOMMENDED level of 1lb loss per week and this has resulted in calories been put up too 1510.

For anyone who has experienced eating at both these limits etc do you think it is wise for me to swap and change calories and goals from time too time ?

Thanx in advance :flowerforyou:

Yes! I not only felt loads better on 1 pound a week, but I often lost just about the same amount as when I had my calories set lower.

    Aw thats good then !

I just thought If i lose more than 1lb a week that would be fab but some days i will feel more hungry than others and some days i will barely have cals left for dinner hope it works !

    Thank you x

I changed my goal from 1 pound a week to 1/2 pound (1240 to 1440 cal plus exercise cals), and am still losing just as fast - maybe faster. I was averaging 1/2 to 3/4 pound a week, and now I am averaging a pound a week for the last 3 -4 weeks. Some days I do eat a little under and some days I am over (LOL - yesterday I was over by 700 - but that is extremely unusual). I am in a healthy weight range and within 8 pounds of my goal.

    Thats really good !

I just wanted to hear some reassuring thoughts before I went ahead, some days I cant eat all them calories but at least I know if i feel hungry etc I can allow myself some more food stuff !
