Straightening Hair Systems-Do it or Don't???

I know this is silly, but I've been going back & forth on if I want straight-hair for a while. As you can see in the profile pic, I've got a lot of curly hair & it takes over 30 mins between washing & attempting styling in the AM (usually the hair does what it wants & looks like hell). When I do straighten it, I can blow-dry it instead of washing (I go 3 days no wash max!), rerun a flat iron through it & I'm good to go & but that still takes 30-60 mins each time! If I keep it curly I have to at least condition it each day or else it literally dreadlocks!
So, I'm looking for input, advise, success or horror stories on anyone that's had their hair straightened either by Brazilian Blow-out, Keratin, or GKHair (Global Hair). My Hair Stylist is certified by GKHair & done numerous applications & said my hair would be great for it (she's been doing my hair for a decade now & has always made it look healthier & better each time I go in for colour, hilites, etc., so I trust her; plus she always does EXACTLY what I ask for), but I want to know your thoughts.
I’ll check back later: please be honest. I want to start going to the gym in the AM before work & shower there & get ready there since my work is only 10mins away (I live over 30mins from work/gym): if I get my hair straightened I’d be able to just dry it without washing & go to work, then I can just wash it when I get home later that day. But, I want to know if anyone has had any bad experiences.
PS – this would also be my pre-reward for getting in better shape & really concentrating on building up my muscle mass rather than buying junk or more stuff I have to wash or dust at home!

ive heard a lot of bad things about the brazillian blowout. very bad for your hair. honestly, my opinion is the emdrace your hair! the people that do always look the best! once you get over that ,"omg, my hairs not done!" feeling, you'll enjoy it. i finally got to where i wore my hair free without straigtening. it wasnt straight but not wavy enough to be wavy. i could encourage half to curl and the other wouldnt. so i just let it be. and it looked good. though i have since had a dreadlock bout. lol. figured i better do it while i was young. sort of a bucket list thing. :P but just give your natural texture a try. i would detangle in the shower then when your getting out take the towel and lightly "schrunch" dry your hair. then dont touch it and let it air dry. add some smoothing cream if you have too, but im sure it would look great. :)

Thanx for ur info above. Although Just to clarify: I've had curly hair my entire life meaning I've had my natural texture & couldn't ever do anything with it & I rarely have even a decent hair day.. I HAVE to use serum & detangler every day (reason I have to at least wet & condition each day).

Looking for quick/easy solutions & if there is a way to not have to wet it or style it each day. Any other ideas are welcome: I already know what happens with my natural texture - frizz, no control & the worst afro ever!

My friend got a Brazilian Blow out and she swears by it. Only down side is you cant wash or pull your hair back for a few days after the blow out

I can't tell from your pictures the texture of your hair, but my cousin is black and white and has very thick, coarse-curly hair that has taken me just hours to straighten with a flat iron. She recently did the Keratin treatment. Did not work well on her hair. I don't recommend it if your hair does not have soft curls.

I like the Brazilian Keratin Blowout - it nourishes your hair while keeping it straight. My hair is SUPER curly, the brazilian blowout actually makes my curls like softer beach waves. I think its great, it saves time, takes the frizz away, and gives your hair a healthy shine. I say go for it!
