sodium?

just curious and interested.... kinda get the impression sodium is not very good in large amounts.... but am really not sure why or what effect it has...could someone explain this 2 me please.... and also how much we should b having on a daily basis to be healthy... THANKYOU x

Medical experts recommend no more than 1800mg daily. If you have underlying medical issues like high blood pressure, etc. then 1500mg.
For me, MFP's default was 2500mg so I decreased it to 2000mg and I'm trying to work my way down from there.
There are numerous studies and articles available online that explain the dangers of high sodium diets.0
