Or just eat less sodium/junky foods?

  • Less sodium is key. I lost 4lbs my first 2 weeks since I switched my diet around and actually made it a point to watch sodium.

Make sure you're drinking enough water as well. Also I think alcohol can force you to hang on to water as well. I know after a late night My weight will spike for 2-3 days then drop back down to inline with current weight loss.

Do you know how much sodium you're eating now?
  • It's gonna take me about a month to lose my water weight- not sure exactly how much I take in right now, but I know it's somewhat significant, though I'm gaining more and more self control to stay away from binging on overly salty things.

I think it depends on the cause for your water weight. If it's relatedto food, try to limit your intake of those foods. If it's related to muscle building, that's a good thing as muscle helps burn fat, and if is period related, it will go away soon :)

Try drinking more water. If it's an issue, talk with your doctor.

You should be fine though, if it isn't a medical issue. People fluctuate all the time for many reasons.

Glycogen requires additional water molecules to be stored in the body so a few days of lower carbs (not necessarily really low but in relation to your everyday intake) can reduce water weight.
