Is it bad to be too far under your calorie goal?

For my weight, I am supposed to eat 2,400 calories to lose 2 lbs a week. Today I only ate 1,400 calories. My meals were spaced out and I had snacks in between. I'm not hungry, but I am wondering if I should try to stick closer to that calorie goal or if I am ok be so far under.

I don't think you have to eat every single calorie, but being 1000 cals under doesn't sound very good to me.
You might find it easier if you plan your meals ahead of time, then you can see how the day is looking and add in an extra snack or a bit more food to your meals to make it a healthier day.
Personally I'm not a big fan of "eating only when hungry" - I did this for 43 years and it didn't do me any favours. Now I eat around about my calorie goal (some days over, some under) even if I'm not especially hungry and I'm much healthier for it.0
