On days that I work out, I'm having trouble reaching my calorie goal. At first I thought this was ok, that I would lose more weight, but I was told that the best thing to do is even out so calories remaining at the end of the day is close to 0. I don't want to use up remaining calories with bad foods so I was wondering if anyone has suggestions on healthy calories to get me to my calorie goal towards the end of the day. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

  • Chobani Greek yogurt is a healthy alternative, plus it has plenty of protein (great thing to snack on before or after a workout) and yummy flavors.

If you're craving something sweet, Smart Ones offers "Smart Delights" which are low-fat ice cream and with variety of toppings for 120-150 calories. Perfect if you're having a sweet-tooth.

Kashi make deicious Granola Bars, I personally prefer the Kashi Chewy Granola Trail Mix. You won’t find any partially hydrogenated oils, high fructose corn syrup, or artificial anything — it's minimally processed, pure ingredients.

    Healthy Snacks:

-Obviously Veggies-Carrots, celery, broccoli, tomatoes (the brighter the vegetable the better they say!)
    -another obvious- fruits!
-Greek Yogurt(I buy the yoplait one with fruit mixed in the bottom)
-Protein shake mixed with milk (I get the wheybolic chocolate flavor from GNC)
-Almonds or pistachios (or other nuts. those are just my preferences.)
-Special K brand items are pretty tasty. :]
-Peanut butter (maybe pb bread, pb bannana, etc.)
    -V8 Juice
-laughing cow cheese wedges spread on 5 low fat ritz crackers (SO GOOD!)
-Skinny Cow Ice cream, or candy
    -Protein Bars

I honestly think your best bet is high protein foods because they keep you satisfied longer and they are great for the muscles. :)
