Does anyone else realize that it's impossible to get under your sugar level. They have that I should only be eating 25 grams of sugar a day but I have been finding that impossible. Everything now a days has sugar in it (even a 6 ounce cartoon of yogurt is half that amount). Have you guys been successful at keeping your sugar level under or have you just been ignoring it. At this point I have completely stopped trying to control it since it's usually over by 10am most days anyway.

I find it very hard to stay within sugar levels. I have pretty much cut out all chocolate, buiscuits and cakes. These are the worst forms of sugar.
I couldn't believe how much sugar there is in fruits and veg, I used to eat 3 pieces of fruit a day and now I have limited myself to just 1. Althought the doctor said its ok to snack on them and it is much better than eating other things. To be honest I am not to worried if I go over on sugar as long as I know its from food like fruit and vegetables,
I will be interested to see other responses.0 -
I honestly can't ever think of a time where I didn't go over my sugar levels. My limit is also 25 grams but there's just so much naturally occuring sugar in the kinds of things that I eat that it's impossible to stay under. I think that as long as you are not eating PROCESSED sugars (i.e. candy, sugary cereal, ice cream, et cetera) you should be fine!0

I'm the same! I find it impossible to stay under my sugar levels but a small yoghurt and some fruit always seems to push the levels up too high. I don't worry too much as I've more or less cut out 'bad' sugar.0

I'm often under on sugar. When I go over it's from eating fruit or cookies - things I could easily cut out if I was concerned about sugar.0

I always go over my sugar levels and my fiber. I have a fruit smoothie daily, and 1-2 servings of whole grains, and some how manage to go over it just off that. So, yah, I ignore it
My fiber goal is 14 grams daily, but that's really low for me. Past experience has shown me that my body needs at least 20 grams a day to be, um, regular.

Um sugar makes you regular? That's fiber you're thinking of.0

that's what she was saying.
As far as sugar goes, i never bothered paying attention to it.
25g seems ridiculously low and there's no scientific studies out there that i'm aware of that suggest we should eat a certain amount of sugar and until there is, i shall not worry0 -

I think this directed at me, so if it is, reread my post; I was talking about fiber0
