Kickboxy type workout DVDs

So - after checking out jillian (don't like her), P90 (loved it but repetitive) and Chalean Extreme (hard but good) - i've decided kickboxing type moves are my favourite.

Can anyone recommend any good, entirely kickboxy, cardio DVDs?

I'd join a class but I REALLY don't want to spar (I'm shy).

I've used Billy Blank's Tae Bo in the past and loved it. Sadly, I had it on tape, then the VCR died, and I never got the DVDs. Seriously thinking about getting it again, though.

Also, 10 minute Kickboxing is good, though not nearly as intense.

I like Janis Saffell--she's much less strident than Jillian.

Head to your local library and test drive some of thier DVDs. I usually do this before I buy so I don't end up with a bunch I hate to do:)

I'm a huge fan of kickboxing so here are some that I love:

Cathe Friedrich ~ Kick, Punch & Crunch, MMA Boxing and MMA Kickboxing
Chris Freytag ~ Cardio Kickboxing (this is in a set called 10lb Slimdown Xtreme)
Ilaria Montagnani ~ Powerstrikes and Bodystrikes
Billy Blanks ~ TaeBo II Get Ripped
Kelly Coffey Meyer ~ 30 Min. to Fitness Kickboxing and Train Like a Contender
Jessica Smith ~ 10 Min. Solutions Knockout Body
Susan Chung ~ Rapid Fire Workouts

You can get a feel for what these workouts are like by seeing clips on collage.com and totalfitnessdvd.com

When I saw the title I was going to suggest Jillian's new Kickbox FastFix which comes out next week, but since you dislike her, scratch that!

I agree with kd - check your local library! I check mine online to see what title are available and request them to be held for me (many of them have to be sent from another branch). Great way to try them out before buying them. Tae Bo is always fun, but other than that, Jillian's are the only kickboxing DVDs I've tried.

Do you have an LA Boxing near you? I don't think they spar in that gym unless you are really training for an event. Also if you have a gym near you that has TurboKick or BodyCombat (I love this class), there's no sparring there.

Sparring really isn't that bad. I remember when I first started and I was scared but after a while you learn what to do, how to move, block, hit, etc and it's actually quite fun! Sparring for me is like a game of chess. It's all about strategy.

There are rules that go with sparring depending on your sport and you can also chose to wear protective gear. If you practice against someone with experience, they won't completely blast you either.

For DVD's, Billy Blanks has this DVD that comes with a special toning band that he uses. I really want to get it! I can't remember the exact name but I think it has 24/7 in the title.

I bought a great DVD called fight-fx from Amazon, it's like body combat (les mills class) and they release a new DVD each quarter with new routine/workout. Burns loads if calories.
