Getting back on track....again!

Hey everyone! My name is Alex, I am a 26 year old, full-time working single mom from Texas who also happens to be a Criminal Justice major! Yes...all of that My goal is not only weight loss, but I also want to be healthy (yes, you can be skinny and not healthy!) and toned. I also need to have to proper stength to pass the Police Department's physical exam and be an effective police officer!
Since having my son almost 6 years ago I have been up and down in weight and I can't seem to stick with a program long enough to get to my goal! At one point I was up to 183 (I am 5'5") and that's just not acceptable for someone who competition danced and lived in a size 4 pre-pregnancy! I think the trick now that I have gotten older is to have a support system and have a place where you can share you progress with others (as well as get tips from "real" people). Yes, I am doing it for myself and myself alone, but having people to tell you "way to go!" is nice!
I have been using MFP as a calorie tracker for a while, but never jumped online - I think this will make all the difference! I am VERY excited And since I want to do more than just lose weight, I need to get past the iPhone app!
I have a plan that I am sort of starting now but will be set in motion in mid-March:
- I just started a natural 10-day clense with a "clean" meal plan to get my body re-set. I currently do Pilates 2 days a week, but have unfortunatly stopped visiting the gym, nor am I walking the neighborhood anymore! Bad me, I know.
- I am going on a cruise March 11-17 (what a time to get stuff together, huh?). I will use the gym...but I know from past-cruise experiences that there is NO way that I will be able to watch what I eat or drink! It's vacation!
- When I get back I will do Jillian Micahels' 30-day shred and find a good meal-plan (advice?)
- After a week break I am going to start p90x, yes...p90x! The full-on version with the meal planner.
- Once that's complete I am going to get with a personal trainer and set up a maintenance program! That way I never have to struggle with the above again!!
- At some point I want to do the Insanity as well, but that's just me getting bold!

Hi,
You sound like you have your hands full! It's always great to have a good support system and motivation along the way, feel free to add me! I was using MFP as a calorie tracker for a while ago well, and I just recently got online last weekend to check this out, and I love it! Good luck on your journey!

Yes...very full! But it doesn't leave me much time to be lazy and snack, so that's at least one bonus0
