So I went a little crazy last night ((look at the diary if you want)) :)

I went like 900 over on daily goal, but was still like 800 under on weekly goal. Is this ok to do? Or does daily matter more?

I'm 5'6 110 lbs, I have my account set to maintain, MFP is telling me 1700, does this seems a little high to anyone else??

Why does it seem high? It's called maintaining for a reason. You always get to eat a little more to maintain.

I guess I'm still in mental weight loss mode so I'm just skeptical of that number.

It's fine, try not to worry. I actually have one spike day a week where I eat 2xbmr. I am more concerned with a weekly calorie deficit than daily. Plus, you are soooo close to your goal!

heheheheh I was hoping it was tequila that made you go over!!

One day is not going to kill you, and like another poster said a spike day is good...so chalk this up to a spike day and keep on moving...

    you are soooo close!!!

That actually seems kind of low to me

    It's about maintaining a balance.

Do you really think our ancient ancestors ate the exact same calories every day and made sure to eat as soon as they woke up (they probably just had scraps and had the biggest meal in the evening after spending the day hunting and gathering) and made sure they ate "small meals throughout the day" ? No, they went without food if the hunt/gather was unsuccessful and they gorged on food when it was.

    Think about it like that.

I maintain my weight with what I eat, not how many calories I eat.
