Sodium vs Calories??

Hi Everyone!
So it is my Dad's bday and he wants to get takeout, so I look at the menu of the restaurant he wants to go to and they have a lot of somewhat low cal options--the lowest option is 300 calories BUT it has the HIGHEST AMOUNT OF SODIUM ( 2950 mg) , the other one I would want to get is 450 calories and has 1910 mg for sodium. Which one should I choose? Sure getting a 300 calories meal is AWESOME but the amount of sodium is a YIKES factor to me? Your opinions/health expertise is greatly appreciated MFP fam!

i would go for the lower sodium option. you can always eat less calories at another meal, or consider it a treat since it is for a special occasion. the extra sodium is not worth saving 150 calories.0

For 1000mg less, I'd go with the high calorie one. 150 calories is not that much to give up in other food throughout the day0

:flowerforyou: I vote for the Low Sodium option, for sure!!0

I agree on the lower sodium option! 150 calories can be cut rather easily from other food throughout the day or just allow yourself to be over that amount.
Drink up on the water though! Crazy how much sodium is in restaurant meals!0
