So when I first signed up it put me at a 1200 daily caloric intake but today as I'm putting in my food items, it had 1500 for my daily intake goal. Is this because I've exercised today??

Once you log your exercise, MFP allows you to "eat back" the calories burned, so yes0

Yes, you must have burned 300 calories. That is good, so today you should eat close to the 1500 calories.0

Yes. They say you need to eat your exercise cals burned or your body will go into starvation type mode and slow weight loss. Absolute minimum is 1200. I've also read msgs that say it's ok to only eat a portion of your exer cals burned. I only eat half or so.0

Make sure you follow the guide lines in weight loss too. By your picture (which may be deceiving) you don' t have much to lose. And if you set your goal too high, it will lead to plateaus or no results at all.
If you have 75+ lbs to lose 2 lbs/week is ideal,
If you have 40-75 lbs to lose 1.5 lbs/week is ideal,
If you have 25-40 lbs to lose 1 lbs/week is ideal,
If you have 15 -25 lbs to lose 0.5 to 1.0 lbs/week is ideal, and
If you have less than 15 lbs to lose 0.5 lbs/week is ideal.0 -
Yes! The more you exercise, the more you can eat:) I have a daily of 1200 calories too.0
