Samoa Vs. Thin Mint Test
After much debate over which is better, straight out of the freezer, I took it upon myself to test the theory that the Mighty Thin Mint was the better of the two. Even I myself questioned the legitimacy of that statement.
I went to the freezer that was set to a temp of 6 degrees(yes I checked) and took out both boxes and cracked them open just for the scientific research posted below:
I found that both were pretty rock hard but one was a bit more malleable then the other. Guess which one.....
After taking a few tried and true bites from the now noticeably smaller cookies then the previous years(those shady girl scouts I tell you, all about the profit i tell you!!!!)
It has come to my conclusion that the mighty small Samoa was just too hard to consume at such temperatures and the Thin Mint was perfect for consumption even in the most frigid of temperatures, I felt if I bit down hard enough I was sure to have chipped a tooth.
(Ok now please attack my terrible grammar and punctuation skills)

I hardly read what you wrote. I detest flaky coconut, so I choose to ignore Samoas.0
-
Didn't read what you wrote, I'm sure it was great though. But Team Samoas!0

Thin mints win every time.0

Thank you for the information! I would not have known this since, I resisted the urge to buy cookie this year0
-

So far I have managed to not have any GS cookies this year. Probably because I have yet to come across anyone peddling them. Last year I think I gained 10 pounds during Girl Scout Cookie Season.0

Dr. J, I appreciate you posting your findings... for science!
:drinker:0 -

Thank you for your attention to this matter.0

Thin Mints win regardless.
But for testing purposes, the samoas get really hard in the freezer making them no fun to eat0 -
I read it... and now I want cookies! Thanks! lol
I've never had them frozen, but Samoas are better. Sorry.
I could eat 100 boxes of each though.0 -
Samoa??!! That looks delicious! I don't think they sell those in Canada, we just get the thin mint types and the ones that taste exactly like vanilla oreos. The thin mints would definitely tast better frozen I think.0
-
You just had to do it, didn't you? You had to go and post pics of my all time favorite girl scout cookie.....Thin mints....so...yummy...dang it! Now I want cookies:grumble:0
-
I appreciate your scientific methods but I think I will be forced to do the test myself. Oh bother, what a problem science is....such a burden!0
-
OH MY GOSH! I oughta jump through the screen and steal the Samoas! My favorite and I am so mad at your for posting this. I have stuck to my diet all day and this topic is going to send me over the edge. Smooth... Real Smooth!!0
-
Oh My! I love Samoas, frozen or not. I love thin mints, frozen or not.....but, if I had to chose.....Samoas all the way! mmmmmm mmmmmm goooodddd!!0
-
I can't decide - those are my two favorites!!!!
BUT if I have to choose: I am going to have to go with the Thin Mints.... Calorie wise you can have 4 of them for only 160 cals. Where the Samoas you can only have 2 of for140 cals.0 -
I would have to vote for Samoa !!0
-
{{laughing}} Such dedication to this project! Yes Thin Mints over Samoas hands down.
Trefoils are also great from the freezer!0 -
If you thaw them out, the tides will turn. Samoas all the way!!!0
-
Thank you for your attention to this matter.
