Sprained Hip

Ok, so I'm 24. I'm getting really active and love going to the gym but I have over done it and sprained my hip. The doctor says to rest it, but I'm scared of trying to get back in my routine after the rest. And yes I can eat all the healthy foods I can so i wont gain weight, but what can i do to still stay active in a more non hip moving way?
