What to Do with Spinach???

Just as the title explains, I am a little stumped with spinach. I know it is so good for the body, but I don't like it on its own. What are some meal ideas with spinach where the flavor is sort of covered? I'd like to be able to incorporate it in my diet while still enjoying what I eat. :-)

my favorite breakfast is an egg white omelet with spinach and feta with piece of toast...it rocks and really fills you up0

Throw it into a marinara pasta sauce, with mushrooms added if you like.
I also throw fresh spinach into a smoothie with banana, strawberries, and milk. The flavor of the spinach is very mild and you really taste more banana and strawberries.0 -
and...yes, it sounded gross to me at first...but it is really good0

Use baby spinach raw in salads and on sandwiches. If you want to cook it add it to your soups, cassaroles ect. Hope this helps0

well, you don't HAVE to eat spinach if you don't like it. eat veggies that you DO like! my motto is "eat what you like AND like what you eat." I detest avocado and simply refuse to eat it--period. My diet is healthy, balanced, and I can eat other things to get the nutrients that avocados provide.
I found this for you though, if you insist
Buy frozen spinach--or chop fresh spinach really small. When you make mashed potatoes, any kind of sauce, pasta, anything, toss in some spinach near the end of preparation or before baking.
Soups work really really well for spinach, also salads...or you can saute it with other veggies with garlic and olive oil.0 -
I throw spinach into almost everything, omlets, salads, sandwiches, stir frys... I'll have to try throwing it into a smoothie!0

Pretty much all my meals are cooked with chopped boneless skinless chicken breasts in a skillet or crock pot. I shred spinach and add it to pretty much anything. Tonight, I added it with chicken, peppers, tomato and Mexican flavored rice. Other times, I add it with a lemon garlic marinade, chicken, some frozen veggies, pasta and some parm or feta cheese. Really good with a pesto and/or alfredo and sun dried tomatoes & baby bella muschrooms with cheese, too. Even in marinara sauce.
I like the flavor of raw baby spinach, too, so I'll have it instead of lettuce in a salad.0 -
Thanks guys!! I have so many ideas now. I guess I never thought about putting it in pasta sauces, soups, and such. Guess I'll be buying some spinach soon!0

throw it into a spaghetti or lasagne etc. Or add to smoothies (can't taste it at all that way) and it adds that boost......changes the color though all funny!!0

My favorite easy spinach appetizer or side dish is stuffed mushrooms. I just mix frozen (thawed) spinach with laughing cow cheese (whatever flavor I'm in the mood for) and put into mushroom caps that I have cut the stem off of. I bake or broil them a few minutes and it's really low calorie and pretty tasty! Even better- put the spinach mixture into small sweet peppers and bake...delicious!!0

I just blend 100g into my morning protein shake.
100g spinach
2 scoops protein powder
1 banana
1 cup strawberries
Can't even taste the spinach!0 -
OK, here is what I do....
1. Blend it with orange juice! YUMMY!
2. Blend it with banana, avocado, and almond milk.
With the 2nd one, I add a cup of ice when I blend.0 -
Mine goes into sandwiches, salad or when I make my own pasta, I cook it and add it in to my flour and egg for pasta verde. love it!0

Spinach goes so well with spicy food. I often add chilli to it if I am having it as a side veg. It is amazing in curries.0

You can also mix it into plain yogurt along with whatever herbs strike your fancy for a creamy dressing or dip. (Add garlic and a dash of cayenne to make it sing & zing
)
Try it with mint & garlic to go with Indian food. Or without Indian food - throw in thinly sliced cumbers for a crunchy cool salad.
Or add a bit of pesto sauce for a creamy pesto spread.0
