vacation weight gain! please help!

how much of my 8 pound weight gain after a week vacation is ACTUAL fat?? is it all fat?? how long do u think it will take to lose it if i get back on track right away??

    It is not all fat, but there is no way for us to tell how much is fat and how much is water weight. To gain 8 pound of fat you would need to eat 28000 calories over your maintenance calories which are probably 500 to 1000 calories over your MFP goal depending on your weekly fat loss goal. That would mean an extra 4000 calories per day, and while that is not impossible, it would be very difficult to do unless you pigged out every day so that you would full to discomfort. Much more likely is that a bunch of it is water weight. Drink lots and get back to eating right and it will come off over the next week or so.

    After 8 days in Jamaica and then 6 days of eating bad at home I have had a very bad 2 weeks.
    Today I am starting fresh and back to clean eating. I have felt worn down and blah the last 2 weeks eating so bad... I have been too afraid to get on the scale, but I am for sure bigger as the clothes are more snug than they were before I left for my paradise vacation.
    I gave myself last week to get the food I have been craving out of my system: mexican, gourmet cupcakes, girl scout cookies, mcdonald's, etc.

    I cannot wait to start feeling good again by eating right....... :)
