Hello, just joined a few weeks ago and this is my first post.,

I'm 41, married and have one daughter. I'm a SAHM but currently looking to go back to work. I've been working on losing weight and a healthier lifestyle since June of '11. I'm 5'2, started at 150 and am now at 134. My goal is 120, but depending on how I feel, I might be happy with 125.

My main goal is not to lose weight quickly, but to permanently change my eating habits and lifestyle. While my calorie goal is currently set at 1560 (for .5 lbs/week), about 95% of the time I go over by 100-200 calories. Today I'm over by 219. I'm hungry and I refuse to starve myself to lose weight. I would truly rather be fat. I exercise 4-5 times per week for 45-60 minutes.

I just made my food diary public so that I can get some feedback on my eating habits. As you can see, a good portion of my daily calories are from snacks. Is that bad? Should I try to eat more at meals and snack less? I'm full after meals. I don't want to stuff myself. But I get hungry shortly after.

Also, I am over my sugar allowance by lunch time. I should probably eat more veggies and less fruit. I've tried lowering carbs but I don't feel well on a low carb diet. I've cut out a lot of bread though.

Anyway, just wondering what improvements I can make besides eating more veggies, possibly snacking less while eating larger meals. Thanks!

I don't think your diet looks that bad, I think you are doing well with fruits and vegetables. Sugar from fruit will always be high but its not all bad. I don't think anyone ever got fat from eating too many apples. I buy all my fruits and veg at the beginning of the week and get them all cut up so I snack on peppers/cucumbers/apples and oranges. You could do that.

Thanks, I'd like to think I eat better than the average person. I eat a ton of fruit. But veggies, not so much. For veggies I like to smother them in butter or some other sauce.
