My fiance got this, and I thought it was a good idea, so I picked myself up a set as well. It's at Wal-Mart for $30, you get 2 Push-Up Handles that rotate, and 12 DVD's, and one CD with the Calendar, Nutrition Guide etc to view/print.

I tried to start this a couple weeks ago but got sick, so I started this again on Monday.

The set is divided up into 8 DVD's and 4 supplemental DVDs.

You do 1 DVD every week for 8 weeks, 3 days a week. The off days you can either do a Cardio of your choice, or one of the supplement DVDs, which are Abs/Yoga/Total Body or Glutes and Thighs

Since I've done P90X and have done a month of Insanity before getting hurt I figured this might be like one of them. It's divided into 2 months, Fat-Burning, and Maximizing Potential. :30 second, :45 second, :90 second intervals, you do a couple of them, then take a one minute water break.

This is kind of a "doable for the average Joe" Insanity. It's tough, but it's not crazy like Insanity is. They last about 42 minutes including warm-up/cool-down

The first DVD has the following types of exercises: Holding a Plank for :30, Table for :45, Sumo Knee Lifts for :90....variations on Ab workouts, Push-ups, Plyo etc. But it always repeats the :30, :45, :90 formula.

It gets your heart rate up there, I weigh 173lbs, and am 5'9, and burned about 605 calories in 42 minutes. That's a bit less than Insanity, but an incredible burn. I don't use an HRM, but take my pulse every 5 minutes for 10 seconds, average it out, and use a formula that has been really accurate FOR ME.

I'm looking forward to seeing the rest of the program....I really enjoy the "do whatever cardio" on the off days since I am training for a Marathon in May so it leaves room for that.

Sounds pretty good Joe. I like the 'Insanity but do-able' tag, considering insanity actually scares me a bit.... I did the full 90 of P90x, but insanity looks like truly ridiculous levels of intensity!

I have this set, and love them. I found an increase in strength and got a more stable core. You want to strengthen your lower back, these are the workouts for you. 90 sec. of Superman is tough, but doable. The first two weeks are easier, but each workout increases in intensity. Week 8 workout I had to take the full 60 sec. break at the middle and last breaks. This morning I tried the ab workout, 17 exercises 30 sec each. Total of 12 min. This is a good add-on to one of the regular weeks workouts.

I have tried out some of the recipies in the nutrition guide, and they where great! Even my family loved them.
